Mobile Application - Mobile ID+

(This was formerly known as mID+).

The MOBILE ID App provides reliable digital remote onboarding using electronic documents (like ID Cards and ePassports) and biometric technologies for identity proofing and liveness checks. It manages smart credentials, including derived identity documents and travel credentials, and can retrieve credentials from several Demo Issuers to your mobile. It fully Integrates with the ENTRUST cloud-based IDaaS Identity As A Service, enabling remote authentication and authorization.

  • Pre-requisites: The application offers demo flows or step-by-step sequences showcasing different use cases. Some of these flows are designed for new users who want to enroll in the demo hub without prior registration. However, some other flows require users to have a pre-registered system account. Since there are different types of accounts, it's important to refer to each use case to confirm the prerequisites.

Please be aware that in the demo environment, you can establish a reliable vetting database consisting of pre-approved identities for remote onboarding. This function replicates the identity verification services provided by external sources such as government agencies and screening services. The feature in the Demo Hub is referred to as the Demo Vetting Database, also known as the Trustworthy Database with ID Records.

  • Demo sequences In the MOBILE ID+ App: Within the App, there exist various demo flows featuring step-by-step sequences. While certain demos are accessible to all users, others remain hidden and exclusively available to select individuals under Admin mode.

  • How to enter the Admin mode in the App?. Upon initial launch, the App employs a default sequence. However, alternative sequences are also available for selection. Press and hold the "Others Sequences" button three times to enable these. This will grant you access to Admin mode, accompanied by confirmation of entry, revealing the previously hidden sequences.

  • Demo sequences: You will find a variety of demo flows that have been crafted with clear and concise step-by-step sequences that are simple to follow, allowing you to quickly and easily navigate the app's features. Whether you're a seasoned user or a newcomer to the app, these demo flows will provide you with the guidance you need to use the app with confidence and proficiency.

  • User Credentials:  Once you complete the registration process using any of the available flows, you will be issued a credential based on the documentation used for your enrollment. For instance, performing an enrollment using a passport will result in the issuance of a Digital Travel Credential. However, the flexibility of the system allows you to request additional demo credentials beyond your initial enrollment. To solicit other demo credentials, follow these steps: Access the Settings menu within the application and activate the option titled "Get Credentials from Issuer".

  • National ID: A digital representation of your national identification document, providing proof of your identity within the national context.

  • Digital Travel Credential (DTC): Ideal for travelers, this credential serves as a digital counterpart to traditional travel documents, offering a secure and convenient way to verify your identity during journeys.

  • Driver's License: A digital version of your driver's license offers a convenient and secure means of confirming your identity and driving privileges.

  • Health Credentials: Documentation related to your health status, which could include vaccination records, health certificates, or other pertinent health-related information.

  • Student ID: A digital representation of your student identification, facilitating easy verification of your student status for various purposes.

  • Work ID:  An electronic version of your workplace identification allows for secure and efficient confirmation of your employment details.

  • Visa: A digital visa credential, provides proof of authorization for entry into a particular country, streamlining the travel verification process. Keep in mind that to obtain the visa, you must enroll using a passport and retrieve it from the options menu.

ADAPTIVE ID

  • Pre-requisites: To apply, individuals must possess a valid eDocument such as an ID card or passport and an existing pre-registered system account. The account must have a cloud digital ID and an ID record (in the vetting trustworthy database) that matches the eDocument number.

  • Onboarding: To create your Smart Credential, please follow these steps: 1) Enter your email address; 2) Scan your eDocument (either your ID Card or Passport); 3) Use NFC to read your eDocument; 4) Take a selfie and complete a Liveness Check; 5) Create your Pin to complete the process.

  • Issuance: After successfully finishing the previous steps: 1) A Smart Credential for mobile devices is created based on the physical eDocument, resulting in a Mobile National ID Credential or a Mobile Digital Travel Credential, and its related metadata is generated in the IDaaS and DEMO HUB central platforms; 2) You can easily obtain more mobile Smart Credentials through the DEMO HUB by linking to other issuers. These credentials may include a Mobile Driving License, Vaccination Status Credential, Student ID Credential, Employee ID Credential, and more. Note: To help with demonstrations, the DEMO HUB has pre-established connections with issuers. To access these connections, go to your mobile app's Settings and select the "Get credentials from Issuers" option.

  • Usage and Transactions: After the user has successfully logged into the app, they can: 1) View a summary of their identity representation (their name, Mobile ID status, facial image, …) and a list of their credentials; 2) View a digital representation of the National ID Card front/back or the ePassport's data page; 3) Share data and be verified using QR codes, NFC, Bluetooth, and online checks. Please remember that Smart Credentials' transmission methods depend on their purpose and form factor.4) Online authenticate after enabling the "Online Authentication" feature in the Settings tab (IDaaS soft tokens or credential authenticators can be used); 5) Transaction confirmation through the IDaaS Platform.

Other sequences when in Admin Mode:

USE A SAMPLE DEMO ACCOUNT WITHOUT AN eDOCUMENT

You can try out a sample demo account with pre-set data so that you won't need an eDocument. Follow the instructions provided in the demo sequences. If you require assistance, please feel free to contact us.

SIGN UP WITH A REGISTRATION CODE

To sign up, you have the option to use a registration code. You can either scan the Registration QR code or manually enter the code. The following steps and features are similar to the ADAPTIVE ID+ default sequence. However, please note that the ADAPTIVE ID+ sequences will soon replace this functionality.

ENROLL WITH YOUR TRIP CODE

Before enrolling, please ensure you have obtained a Trip code through pre-registration at a DEMO HUB workstation on this website. This process requires completing Immigration and Customs Forms. Once enrolled, you will undergo the onboarding process, which includes scanning a Trip QR code, scanning your document's MRZ, verifying the scan data, capturing a selfie, entering a PIN, and creating a Digital Travel Credential.

Once users have successfully logged into the app, they can perform similar actions to the ADAPTIVE ID+ base sequences. In addition, users can review a list of their travels/trips and associated information and access both Custom and Immigration forms. Furthermore, they can share QR codes for verification purposes. Please note that the next-generation DEMO HUB sTRAVEL APP will soon replace this feature, offering several new functionalities, including integration with a biometric corridor. For more information on usage and transactions, please contact us for further assistance.

eID VERIFICATION AND SYNC ACCOUNT

This functionality allows you to verify your eID (electronic identification), use biometrics for Identity proofing, and synchronize the verified data with the online DEMO HUB account and Digital ID. Options are available to create or update your records. This functionality will be deprecated and fully replaced by the ADAPTIVE ID+ sequences in the near future.

Please note that these are summaries of each functionality, and the actual process may involve more detailed steps.
