Mobile Application - mDoc

mDoc HOLDER

Drawing inspiration from ISO/IEC 18013-5:2021, we present the mDoc mobile app, an alternative for the seamless generation and utilization of digital credentials. Our application mirrors the efficiency of Mobile ID+, featuring a streamlined onboarding process that ensures a secure and user-friendly experience but using a full-compliant ISO 18013-5 specification.

The process initiates with capturing the information stored in the holder’s document (Driver’s License or National ID Card). This process can be done using NFC for chip-based documents, ensuring high-security and comprehensive data retrieval, or scanning the physical document. An essential step involves capturing a picture of the document holder, followed by a biometric comparison with the image extracted from the document. Additionally, users are prompted to define a personalized PIN for future interactions within the application.

This process does not require prior registration on the Demo Hub and refrains from creating an identity within its database.

In essence, mDoc not only applies to Mobile Driver’s Licenses but also aligns with other Document Types according to the ISO standard, offering sophisticated and efficient means of digital credential management.

mDoc READER

The mDoc Reader enables users (Verifiers) to read, interpret, and verify data shared through the mDoc Holder application. It is a versatile tool that can exchange information transmitted via QR codes, NFC, and Bluetooth, following the ISO standard.

What makes the mDoc Reader stand out is its adaptability across various use cases. It excels at presenting data from personal IDs, mobile driver's licenses, and can even be used to quickly verify the age of the document holder (such as over 18 or over 21). This versatility enables several scopes of information available to the verifier, ensuring a comprehensive and efficient verification process.
