DIGITAL ONBOARDING
Streamlining face-to-face and remote onboarding processes.
EIO offers a range of onboarding options to cater to various use cases and security requirements, including in-person, remote, hybrid, and API-based methods. Organizations can align their authentication and identity assurance levels with their specific security requirements by adhering to both NIST 800-63/rev3 and eIDAS guidelines.
In-Person Onboarding
Utilizing a Registration Portal managed by a Registration Officer ensures a secure and efficient process by streamlining data collection, user consent, document capture, database cross-checks, and biometric authentication. The user must personally visit a registration office to provide the necessary documents and sign agreements.
Remote Onboarding
EIO offers remote onboarding flows for new users and remote activation for pre-registered users, accommodating various use cases and security requirements.
Remote Activation of Pre-Registered Users
This method allows pre-registered users to remotely activate their accounts by confirming access or possession of an OTP registration code, a secure registration link, a QR code, or a trusted authenticator. This approach ensures a secure and convenient activation process without needing in-person interaction.
Full Remote Onboarding for New Users:
EIO utilizes National ID smartcards, passports, biometrics, and mobile apps to verify new users’ identities. In the first step, the EIO mobile app uses NFC or OCR technology to read data from the ID Document, including the holder's portrait. Next, the app captures a live selfie of the applicant to compare it with the extracted portrait from the ID Document or a trusted Government database. This method ensures a secure and user-friendly onboarding experience that can be completed remotely.
Hybrid Onboarding Experience
This approach offers flexibility, convenience, and security by combining face-to-face and remote methods. Users complete some onboarding steps in person at a registration office or an authorized kiosk. The remaining steps are completed remotely through digital channels, catering to established policies and user preferences.
API Based
The onboarding process can be initiated using an API (Application Programming Interface) from the organization's system or authorized third parties, which allows for seamless integration and execution of part of the process. Following this step, in-person or remote identity verification procedures can be conducted to complete the rest of the onboarding process, ensuring a secure and efficient experience for the user.
Overall flexible approach
Whether you prefer using our mobile EIO app or accessing the Self-Registration portal via a standard browser, our remote onboarding solutions ensure a convenient and secure experience for new users.
